Genius Rap Lines of the Week: Week of Nov. 7

Brought to you by

This week has seen the leaks of two of the most anticipated albums of the fall - Drake's Take Care and Childish Gambino's Camp - as well as the release of frat rapper Mac Miller's Blue Slide Park and Rick Ross's first appearance on a track since his October 14 seizures. Here are the 5 Genius Rap Lines of the Week

Mac Miller thinks his Louis Vuitton belt is more fly than the stars that make up the belt in the Orion constellation. You be the judge:

In a guest verse on Drake's new single, Andre tells us that since strippers end up using their tips to buy cars ("whips") when they say they're using the money for college tuition, strip club patrons should really be paying into a separate Scholarship Fund to actually pay for strippers' educations. A Stripper Scholarship Fund? Someone send this policy proposal to Herman Cain!

Just as Snoopy is always lying down "on the house" - his red dog house - Drake's such a baller that his drinks at the club are always free - "on the house."

In his first appearance since his October 14th double-seizure scare, Rick Ross guests on Meek Mill's track and lays down a classic line. His mom used to drive a crappy Chevy Cavalier, but now that Rick's rolling in rap money, she lives the good life like a well-heeled NBA player. Note the difference:

We're not willing to concede to Childish Gambino that this is "the line of the century," but it's definitely the Line of the Week. 400 Blows is a 1959 François Truffaut film about the misadventures of a young troublemaker who ends up in jail. So Gambino's saying he’s going to beat up fake guys - "true faux niggas" - who lie about having been to jail. Pretty clever stuff Gambino - OK, maybe it's the Line of the Month.
